Last One (similar to "Uno")

The cards and the deal

Equipment: A deck of ZSA Cards.

Card Abilities:
X - Skip
J - Reverse ("J" looks like an arrow)
Q - Draw two ("Q" rhymes with "two")
K - Wild (The King can do whatever he wants)
A - Wild Draw 4 (An Ace is even stronger than a King)

Setup: To start the game, remove four Aces and four Kings from the deck (so you only have four Aces and four Kings left — we don’t want too many Wilds!). Shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player. The remaining cards are placed face down to form the draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is turned face up and placed next to the draw pile to form the discard pile.

The play

The player to the left of the dealer goes first. On your turn, you must play a card that matches the color, number, or symbol of the card on the top of the discard pile. For example, if the top card is a red 3, you can play any red card or any 3 card from your hand.

If you don't have a card that matches the top card of the discard pile, you must draw a card from the draw pile. If the card you draw can be played, you can play it immediately. If not, your turn is over and the next player goes.

There are several special cards in the deck that add an extra element of strategy to the game:

Skip ("X"): Skip the next player's turn.
Reverse ("J"): Reverse the direction of play. If there are only two players, that means it’s your turn again (just like "skip").
Draw Two cards ("Q"): Make the next player draw two cards.
Wild ("K"): Can be played on any card. Allows you to choose the color that continues play.
Wild Draw 4 ("Ace"): Can be played on any card. Allows you to choose the color that continues play, and forces the next player to draw four cards at the start of their turn.

If you have only one card left in your hand, don't forget to yell "Last One" to let the other players know. If you forget to do this and another player catches you, you must draw two cards as a penalty.

The game continues until one player gets rid of all of their cards (see “winning” below). The other players then score points based on the cards remaining in their hands. The player with the lowest score at the end of the game wins.

Winning

The first player to successfully get rid of all their cards is the winner. The other players then score points based on the cards remaining in their hands. The player with the lowest score at the end of the game wins.
